General InformationAccidents
Any accident involving injury to a child will be entered in the accident book as soon as possible after the event. The principal and child’s parents will be informed as soon as possible. The Secretary and teachers have current Senior First Aid Certificates. Assemblies Assembly is held in the School Hall each Friday afternoon commencing at approximately 2.45pm. Each week, two School Leaders lead the assembly. Here the whole school will celebrate their achievements for the week and discuss any issues relevant to the children. Parents are cordially invited to attend. Change of Address It is most important that the school is notified immediately there is a change of address or telephone number. This also applies to the emergency contacts for the children if the parents are not available. Excursions On each child’s enrolment form, permission is given to attend minor excursions from school. eg. walking to town venues. Senior students will have a major excursion each year to destinations such as Canberra, Melbourne or a Sport and Recreation camp. Children in Years 3/4 will attend an overnight camp combined with the children from Sacred Heart, Tocumwal and St Joseph’s, Jerilderie. Children in Years K/1/2 will attend a day trip to a cultural performance or a Flora/Fauna Park. Structure of Classes The students are in one learning centre with small groupings for Early Stage 1 & Stage 1 students and stage 2 & 3 students. All students share Library facilities, Art and Practical Activities in Mathemetics and Science are conducting in the Nagle Centre and the School Hall is the gathering space for Assemblies, music and dancing. |
