School Library

Picture
Each class has a Library lesson each week.  Children must have a Library bag before they are allowed to borrow books from the Library.  A cloth drawstring is best, or a waterproof bag.

Books are borrowed for up to a fortnight.  Students and families are asked to take care of these resources.  When books are lost or damaged, as happens from time to time, please let the school know.

The library at St. Columba's School provides a focal point for the resourcing of Key Learning Areas for teachers and students as well as providing a learning environment for Information Technology skills.

Reading is further promoted through our annual Scholastic Bookfair and Scholastic Bookclub.  Latest titles are available to be purchased!

Berrigan Town Library

In conjunction with our own library resources, the junior class  visits the Berrigan Town Library one morning per week.  The use of both libraries enables the children to access a wider variety of books and other literary resources.
